getting attached to an unpopular ship with little to none fanfics
Yes. My main OTP is semi-rare, and another recent OTP has been written about in a single fanfic by a single writer: Me. (Other than a brief non-con mention in an epic fic….)
Since learning Frozen is meant to be a metaphor for depression, Let it Go suddenly speaks to me on an unbelievably deep level. I can hear myself in every single lyric and can’t listen to it anymore without getting emotional.
And rewatching the movie, holy crap. It is spot on. At least, it’s spot on my own experience.
because it helps to remember this every now and then.
Also did anybody else notice that they removed the “Elton John’s AIDS foundation” logo from Miley’s picture? Fuckin’ agendas everywhere….
I literally threw a mini fit
The fact that they even touched up the woman in the BACKGROUND of the Selena Gomez pic is crazy.
I’ve said this every time it comes on my dash but please also notice that a lot of the women get photoshopped lighter.
this makes me fucking sick
is nobody going to comment on how they removed miley cyrus’s arm
like sure they made her look skinny but she’s mISSING AN ARM
I don’t get it. What’s wrong with the “before” pictures? Why do they have to change fucking eveRYTHING
This is important
god the altered pics look so uncomfortable and to be honest worse than the original
If the altered pictures were actually how they looked in real life then they would barely be able to stand up
SERIOUSLY. They even removed an ARM for Miley
Like OH HELL SCREW THE ARM BUT MAKE SURE HER BUTT AND BOOBS ARE BIG AND HER STOMACH CRUSHES HER ORGANS.
Also, in the Salena Gomez pic, they actually photoshopped the woman in the background too! But there’s a man in that picture as well. Untouched.
WHAT DOES THAT TELL YOU?
This needs to stop. Now. We need to hold the media accountable. Celebs need to put a stop to this. Enough is enough
This is really speaking to my ED self tonight. It’s like a revelation. These women are all beautiful, thin, and STILL not good enough. The standard is such a fabrication, that it is literally impossible to live up to. Yet, on the outside, we don’t know that.
I grew up when the internet was an infant and these things weren’t available. We were trained to believe the images in magazines, made to believe they were attainable. Not that I haven’t been aware of this for years, but tonight it feels like a punch in the gut. I will never look like these women because THEY don’t even look like them.
